2. Prepare your ingredients before starting to cook.


 This is one of the recipe-repair advice that will benefit you most if you find yourself doing halfway through the process that you are missing an ingredient for every recipe you try to follow.

This advice refers to the French phrase "Mise en place," which literally translates to "put everything in its place."

What is the matter? Simply put, I'm saying that you should have all of the ingredients for a reposter's ready to cook or use in a recipe.

In practice, this translates to separating the ingredients into different containers, calculating how much is needed for the recipe, then chopping additional ingredients as needed.
